		<description>This restaurant is good the first couple times you go. The food becomes boring after eating there a few times. The sashimi is definetly not fresh. The spotted prawns they served me had black heads, meaning that they were going bad. Will not be going back.</description>

		<description>This restaurant left garbage all over the ground around the dumpster. When I showed them receipts from their restaurant found in the garbage they suddenly did not speak english. Three days later the mess is still there. I have contacted the health department.</description>

Toratatsu Japanese Tapas Bar is Now Open

Vancouver, BC...Toratatsu is Vancouver’s newest Japanese Tapas &amp; Wine bar, with Chopstick Café Shiru-Bay’s Kodai Uno at the helm. Its lively atmosphere and funky décor makes it an intriguing setting for the average westerner. Open for dinner Monday to Saturday from 6:00pm, Toratatsu offers Japanese Tapas and small plates, featuring local ingredients with Japanese flavours. Executive Chef Kodai Uno returns to Japan three times a year, visiting restaurants, bars, pubs and markets to accumulate ideas and inspiration for Toratatsu (Tora = Tiger, Tatsu = Dragon). 

Look forward to feature selections such as the juicy, spicy ebi-chili-mayo prawns; featured fresh sashimi of the highest grade; the buta shabu salad with gathered organic greens, barley fed pork and green onion sesame ponzu; and grilled miso sablefish wrapped in wine soaked Japanese cedar served with sweet potato puree. The bar menu features a small selection of draft and bottled beer, an expertly chosen wine list and delicious cocktails including the daily fresh sheet smash – with your choice of vodka, gin or sake smashed with fresh market fruit and topped with soda water.

Toratatsu is the most recent addition to Chopstick Café Shiru Bay in Yaletown, Vancouver, and a long line of restaurants that were founded by the Uno family in Tokyo. The Uno family feels that the key to their success has been consistent with all of their restaurants: good food, friendly and fun staff and reasonable prices. With over twenty successful Shiru-Bay and Raku Izakayas throughout Tokyo, the Uno family has now extended themselves to Vancouver through their youngest son, Kodai Uno, who operates Chopstick Café Shiru-Bay and Toratatsu.
