Whineo’s on Granville Street, Vancouver

Not to be mistaken with Wineos, Winos, Wineo’s, Wino’s or other similar sounding names (liquor board turned those renditions down) recently opened up on Granville Street.

My last visit there was great! The manager, Josh Manuel and his staff were very accommodating. Started off with some food, some beer, rillettes were very memorable. Then Josh pulled out a glass of MontGras, splendid.

Little known fact: Whineo’s has a secret, hidden room behind the bookcase near the bar. It’s called the Scooby Doo Room since they had so many hidden rooms behind bookcases in the cartoon.

    I met a man in the bar this summer (august 3, in the night) and i would like to met him again but i don’t know his last name!!!

    Can’t really help you … maybe you should call the place? They’ve since changed management and staff about a hundred times since they opened.

    Speaking of which, that’s a MAJOR pet peeve of mine – staff who represent a place and then suddenly dissapear. Thanks to the blogosphere, your name is now MUD.

    Don’t know if you remember us last year during the Olympics.
    We used to go to Whineo’s every night after our hockey games…
    We were all wearing red jacket…

    We’ll be back Sunday night as we fly from Calgary after the outdoor game.
    We’re in Vancouver for 3 nights so for sure we want to spend time again at your place…
