    Marmalade

    Marmalade, a new, hip, cool Vancouver restaurant, openend up on June 4th and I got the opportunity to check the place out yesterday. Thanks to the people at Immedia PR for the tip. Initial impression, cool space, friendly people, well-attired bar with what looks like premium products in the well (my double Bombay GT short was served out of it…).

    NWA un-radio edit versions

    Okay, so when they edit music for the radio, they usually either remove or bleep out the explicit lyrics. After all, we don’t want to offend the general public and lose advertizing, do we?

    Well this site does the opposite: http://www.ni9e.com/

    Instead, they’ve decided to remove all the non-cuss words from NWA songs. Quite content rich, I’d say. Take a listen for yourself.

    Denman Update

    Denman street, bustling, busy, new stuff happening there all the time. Café Lucia, Black Tuna, Zakkushi, Enthuze and Fat Burger are all new additions.

    There’s also been closures. Hot Dog Johnny’s didn’t make it. Brass Monkey is closed for renos. When I walked by yesterday, they had changed the name of the place – it’s now going to be called Central with the tagline of Eat, Drink and Play.
