Of course on the way there, they had to let me know that the key ingredient in Moses was cockroaches. Great – I’m in for a great lunch. So Moses turned out to be donair and I tried two types – the Beef (regular) and the Chicken (double extra chili which was a bit spicy). The sauce was alright, the bread was quite thick and it wasn’t wrapped tightly as I had expected. Flavour didn’t compare to some of the great donairs I had in the South of France a couple weeks ago. I’m also looking forward to the Mughlai Kebabs in India when I go there a couple weeks from now.
During lunch, some beggar pigeon decided to hang around and harass me. I was somehow able to lay in a boot – something I thought would be impossible (after all, I try to run birds over with my car on a regular basis with limited success (1 hit in perhaps 1000 attempts)). Rats with wings, I tell ya.
So today, thanks to the kindness of the staff, I was able to bust out of the office at a decent hour. I had an opportunity to grab some Lemon Chu-Hi’s with Jimmy as well as the opportunity to check out the neighbourhood. Coin laundries, intact. Drycleaner, still there. 7-Eleven, AM PM and Family Mart on Fudo Dori, still there. Shiseido store, still there. Asano Barber club where I better get a haircut from soon, still there. Psycho dude who paints a big X in front of his place with water, wears military garb and harasses people who come by with his paranoia, still there. All of life’s little luxuries.
For dinner, I enjoyed Indian Food at another old haunt of mine, the Asian Palm. I’m scheduled to have lunch there on Thursday with Walter of Digital Investor. Hope he likes it as much as I do. Tonight I had the Seekh Kebab and the Garlic Naan. All that and a large beer for less than 2000 yen – what a deal!
Anyhow, some pics – I’m off to bed. Nite nite…. perhaps in a future blog, I can tell the story of the weekend. It seems that despite my condition, I took some photos…
