I had to jet off for a bit and didn’t get a chance to finish my last blog entry so here we go….

Sometimes, my photography sucks

I love carrying around my cellphone. It’s the Sony Ericsson P800. I use the crap out of the camera feature. It seems to work out quite well and overall, it’s a great phone, especially when paired with Sony’s 1st generation Bluetooth devices such as the HBH-60 or the HBH-35. It doesn’t seem to work as well with the next generation of devices such as the HBH-65 which I recently put to rest for the HBH-600. Overall, the functionality rocks, tho – I’m going to keep my eyes open for a phone here in Japan which has Bluetooth.

Now, back to photography. Last week I captured a unique moment – two Vancouver cops, mounted on horses take down a kid on a BMX. Truly a historic catch for these cops I’m sure. I didn’t get a shot of the horses unfortunately, but I did get the kid and his BMX.

Next time, I’ll actually aim when taking the shot.

But then again, so do the coffee lids at Tim Horton’s

Whomever designed the lids for the coffee at Tim Horton’s should be shot. What type of maniac designs something so absolutely faulty that it actually causes a coffee (or Hot Chocolate as in my case) to be more prone to winding up all over my shirt? Firstly, the lid’s flap doesn’t stay put regardless of the energy put forth to try to make it stay in the open position. It seems the only remedy to this is to either tear the flap off completely or to staple it in the open position. Fortunately for passers by, I didn’t bring my stapler. Secondly, the lid doesn’t stop any spillage once opened. So what’s the use? Kudos to the designers on that one.

When a prankster needs some help

Note to self, that small investment I made at the dollar store during the summmer on food colouring with the hopes that I could drop it into a fountain at some point in time was a poor investment. Next time I’ll either have to stick to tide or perhaps as reccomended by a friend, some of the powder food colouring. I’ll keep you posted on the results – or perhaps you’ll read about it in the news one day.
